“一国两制”的“国”是“country”还是“nation”？

“一国两制”是中国特有的政治制度，翻译为”onecountry,twosystems”。但是我们的“国庆节”却翻译为”NationalDay”。

“国”究竟是”country”还是”nation”？

或者还有其他的表达？

我们的汉语中，只有“国家与地区”，其中“国家”是指“主权国家”，“地区”是指“没有主权的政治体”，通常都是殖民地、属地和托管地。

所以，中华人民共和国属于“国家”，港澳台属于“地区”，美国属于“国家”，波多黎各和关岛属于“地区”。

然而在英语里，可翻译成国家的词有三个：country,nation和state。
